By downloading, installing, or using the ScentAdvisor mobile application ("App") or any related services operated by MightyS ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms").
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes are published constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and process your personal data.
ScentAdvisor is a free perfume recommendation and discovery application. The App provides:
ScentAdvisor is entirely free. Every feature is available to all users without a subscription, paywall, or in-app purchase. We generate revenue solely through affiliate commissions when users purchase fragrances through our partner retailer links.
Anonymous use. ScentAdvisor works without registration. On first launch, the App creates an anonymous Firebase account for you. Your preferences, collection, and diary are stored against this anonymous identifier. No email address or personal information is required.
Optional sign-in. You may optionally link your anonymous account to an Apple ID or Google account to enable cross-device sync and data recovery. Sign-in is offered as a convenience and is never required to access any feature.
Account responsibility. You are responsible for maintaining the security of any device or account you use to access ScentAdvisor. You agree not to share your sign-in credentials with third parties.
Account deletion. You may delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Profile screen within the App, or by contacting us at support@scentadvisor.app.
You agree to use ScentAdvisor only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with these Terms. You must not:
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for any user who violates these acceptable use provisions.
ScentAdvisor earns revenue through affiliate partnerships. When you tap a "Buy" or retailer link within the App, you are redirected to the retailer's website in your device's external browser. If you make a purchase, we may receive a commission from the retailer at no additional cost to you.
Prices shown are indicative. Prices displayed in the App are sourced from retailer data feeds and are refreshed daily. The actual price at the time of purchase on the retailer's website may differ from the price shown in the App due to promotions, stock availability, currency fluctuations, or data lag. The price shown on the retailer's website at checkout is the definitive price.

Our current affiliate partners include Notino (via Commission Junction), Douglas (via Awin), and Parfumdreams (via Commission Junction). The inclusion of a retailer in the App does not constitute an endorsement beyond the scope of price comparison.
ScentAdvisor includes an AI-powered chat advisor feature powered by OpenAI's GPT-4o-mini model. This feature provides conversational fragrance guidance and recommendations.
AI suggestions are informational only and do not constitute professional advice. The AI advisor may occasionally produce inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated information. Fragrance is highly personal — always verify recommendations against your own preferences and, where possible, sample a fragrance before purchasing.
We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose of any AI-generated content. You use the AI advisor at your own discretion and risk.
Messages sent to the AI advisor are processed by OpenAI's API. Please review OpenAI's Privacy Policy to understand how they handle the content you submit.
The ScentAdvisor App, including its design, source code, text, graphics, logos, and user interface elements, is owned by MightyS and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. All rights are reserved.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App on your personal device solely for your personal, non-commercial use in accordance with these Terms. This licence does not include the right to:
Perfume names, brand names, and product images are the property of their respective brand owners and are used for informational and referential purposes only. ScentAdvisor is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any fragrance brand unless explicitly stated.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ScentAdvisor and MightyS shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of — or inability to use — the App or its content, including but not limited to:
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable EU consumer protection law.
These Terms remain in effect until terminated by either party.
Termination by you. You may stop using the App at any time and request deletion of your account and data via the App's Profile screen or by contacting us.
Termination by us. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or applicable law. We may also discontinue the App entirely, in which case we will provide reasonable advance notice where practicable.
Upon termination, your licence to use the App ends immediately. Sections covering intellectual property, limitation of liability, and governing law survive termination.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
For any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of ScentAdvisor, you agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Germany. However, if you are a consumer resident in another EU member state, you retain the benefit of any mandatory provisions of consumer protection law applicable in your country of residence, and you may also bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence.
The European Commission provides an online dispute resolution (ODR) platform for consumers: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. We are not obligated to participate in ODR proceedings but are willing to engage in good-faith dispute resolution via direct communication.
