Falling Runes
Colored or shaped runes drift toward your base. Tap the matching code on the pad before each one lands, or the base takes the damage.
Color defense arcade
Rune is a fast arcade defense game built on color and shape. Runes fall toward your base. Match the code on the pad and fire back before they land.

What it is
Rune strips tower defense down to one clean loop. Colored, shaped runes drift down the screen toward a base at the bottom. A small pad along the bottom shows the live set of possible codes. Read the falling rune, tap the matching entry on the pad, and it is destroyed before it lands. Miss it, and the base takes the hit.
There are no words on screen and nothing to read. The pad is a small, deducible set of colors or shapes, so every run rewards focus and reaction time, not chance. Waves get faster and the pad gets busier as you climb, and a combo counter rewards a clean run of hits.
Four modes cover different ways to read a rune: Hue asks for color, Form asks for shape, Compose asks for both at once, and Daily hands every player the same run each day, feeding a shared streak and a dedicated leaderboard. Sessions are short by design, built for one hand and a couple of quiet minutes.
Key features
Each feature exists to keep the reflex loop honest: skill decides the run, not luck.
Colored or shaped runes drift toward your base. Tap the matching code on the pad before each one lands, or the base takes the damage.
Hue matches by color, Form matches by shape, Compose asks for both together, and Daily gives every player the same seeded run each day.
A live HUD tracks score, combo multiplier, wave number, and base health as the pace climbs. A depleted base ends the run.
Three complete visual themes change the palette and feel of every run, switchable from the home screen without leaving a match unfinished.
Runs earn shards. Spend them in the Codex on trails, base skins, and pad rims across named sets, each a small collectible on its own.
A daily chest keeps your streak worth returning for. Today, All-Time, Waves, and Streak boards each keep your personal best pinned.
Under the hood
Each run spawns runes at the top of the screen on a timer that tightens as the wave counter climbs. A rune carries a code: a color in Hue mode, a shape in Form mode, or both at once in Compose. The pad along the bottom always shows the full set of codes in play for that wave, so the puzzle is never about guessing what is possible, only about reading each rune fast enough to tap the right entry before it reaches the base.
A correct tap destroys the rune and extends the combo multiplier shown in the HUD alongside score, wave, and base health. A miss, whether a wrong tap or a rune that lands untouched, costs base health. When health runs out the run ends with a score, the wave reached, and an all-time rank. Players can spend an optional rewarded video at that point to add one health point and keep the run going, or start over.
Progress carries between runs through shards, earned per run and doubled with an optional rewarded video. Shards buy cosmetic trails, base skins, and pad rims in the Codex, spread across named rune sets. Daily mode reuses one seeded run for every player each day, so a completed streak and four boards, Today, All-Time, Waves, and Streak, stay meaningful across a shared field rather than isolated personal scores.
Data handling
No account required
Open the app and play. There is no sign-up, no login wall, and no profile to create before your first run.
Runs and shards stay on your device
Personal bests, shards, and Codex collectibles are stored locally, so your best score is always visible even without a connection.
Leaderboards carry a score, not an identity
Today, All-Time, Waves, and Streak boards compare numbers between players. They do not carry personal profile data.
Rewarded video is opt-in, never forced
The 2x shards and continue offers both start from a button you choose to tap. No video plays without that choice.
